A former veterinary assistant, Marlene has always been attracted to dogs, regardless of the consequences: as a child, she was bitten many times. Not one to take such affronts lying down, Marlene took up martial arts. Although we usually reserve bill collecting for Faith, our resident Yorkie, you should know that Marlene now holds the coveted black belt in karate. And we’re not afraid to use it. Along with her husband, Marlene shares her life with Austin the Rescue Blend puppy, Hondo the Hilarious and three fearless felines - Baxter, Sammy, and feisty rescue barn cat, Riley.
