Dawn Flannum

Trainer, Canine Coach

Over the years, there have been clues that Dawn has always had a big heart for animals – no matter the species. Like the time at age 6 when she tried to incubate the ‘baby chickens from the egg carton in a friend’s refrigerator’ inside her warm pockets. Or the time she was volunteering at the Woodland Park Zoo, and was filmed caring for a baby snow leopard (look it up on YouTube!) Fluent in French, Dawn also speaks excellent ‘ferret’, ‘dog’, and ‘people’, both at the Zoo and here at Riverdog. She lives with her husband, 12-year old beagle Gromit, and two sock-hoarding ferrets, Lilly and Tifa.
